You can open on Remembrance Day, but any employees who work on November 11 are entitled to another day off with regular pay if they qualify. To qualify, employees who work on Remembrance Day must also be entitled to have received wages for 15 of the 30 calendar days immediately before Remembrance Day.
When your employees work on Remembrance Day, they must get a break from their work duties and you must suspend your operations, for a period of three minutes, at one minute before eleven o’clock on the morning of Remembrance Day.
